Other engine options include a 2.5L turbocharged flat-four on the S trim level, a 4.0L flat-six on the GTS, and a more capable 4.0L flat-six on the track-ready Spyder RS. The fully loaded 718 Boxster Spyder RS produces 493 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque, rocketing from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds and crossing the quarter-mile mark in 11.8 seconds at a top speed of 119 mph.

The precision-engineered chassis and the mid-engine layout give the Boxster nearly 50:50 weight distribution for dreamlike handling.
