If it’s continually recording, it will eventually overwrite old footage so there’s plenty of space, but if it detects a shock even during this continuous running mode, it will be sure to save that footage in case it’s recording an accident.

One minute after the car is shut down, the dashcam will go into parking mode. In parking mode, it powers down a lot of functions but will come on and immediately begin recording if it feels any kind of shock.
