This invisible layer of protection is essential, as exposure to water, mud, or snow can cause corrosion that can rapidly destroy any metal.
Perforation is corrosion that eats its way through metal to form a hole from one side to the other. If corrosion appears during the warranty period, the damaged metal section will be replaced at no cost. This warranty protection applies for the first twelve years and unlimited mileage.
Federal Emission Design and Defects Warranty
Combustion produces a wide range of dangerous and toxic chemicals. These chemicals include carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulfide and are major contributors to airborne pollution. Your Porsche has a highly efficient emissions control system that converts these dangerous chemicals into harmless ones and water before they’re ejected from the exhaust system.
Your emissions control system meets the required Federal standards for emissions control, and the majority of its components are protected against any issue for two years or 24,000 miles. The most important components in the system, including the engine control unit and the catalytic converter, have extended protection that applies for eight years or 80,000 miles.
